I no longer see Intel High Definition DSP, instead I have RealTek High Definition Audio (SST). ![]() ![]() I no longer have any devices that are not recognized. This audio driver is required if you plan to connect a microphone or headset to the audio jack. Once the PC had rebooted I checked the Device Manager. Installs the Realtek High Definition Audio Driver and Intel Smart Sound Technology (Intel SST) driver for the 3.5mm audio jack and the speakers for Windows 10 & Windows 11 for the Intel NUC12WS products. This mode is selected on platforms where the audio interface for 3rd-party codecs is based on the I2C/I2S/TDM interfaces. After reboot the installer continued and installed the driver. Local audio accessories (mics, speakers, headset) On Bay Trail, Cherry Trail, Braswell, and Broadwell, the BIOS can either enable or disable the DSP: Enable the DSP. ![]() ![]() The Realtek installer first uninstalled the existing driver and required a reboot. The fix is to go to the support page for your device on the manufacturers website, then download and install the audio device drivers they recommend, those will be compatible with your PC, unlike the ones installed by Windows Update. I downloaded the file "Realtek High Definition Audio Driver for IntelĀ® NUC Kits, Version: 6., Date: " and unzipped the file to a directory and ran the setup file. I tried the link again today for the audio driver and now it works ![]()
